PEEP GAME;
It's not by chance that you've come to this site. My name is Robert and just like Noah in the Bible, I've been brought here to build The Rescue Ship Ministries (RSM) site based on my knowledge and experiences. I believe that God has led you, through your knowledge and experience, to take part in this ministry. While this ministry is vastly far from your traditional 'church' environment, The RSM is built to minister to a wide variety of heart-hardened believers in Jesus Christ.
Most of the people who follow, like, and subscribe to these ministries are damaged Christians and we've experienced some of life's worst atrocities. Many of us have even committed some of them ourselves. Due to our past actions, we judge ourselves harshly, and we no longer consider ourselves worthy of God's grace. We are inwardly ashamed of ourselves for the wrong choices that we've made and the paths that we've chosen to take time and time again; knowing fully that it was displeasing in God's sight. Many of us have been abused and we've abused others. We've allowed ourselves to be used and we've knowingly used others. We've been talked about and we've been outcast from both Christian and secular communities. Some of us have been hurt by the very churches where we sought refuge from people in the world who were hurting us. We were taken advantage of by leaders in the church that we thought we could trust, but to no avail found ourselves victims to so-called "Men of God" in leadership positions.
We are outcasts, we are exiles, we are excommunicated, we are lost, and we are confused. Though we may at times rebel against our convictions, there is one thing that we all believe. That there is a higher power that governs us all. We hold true to our faith that there is a God somewhere that sits high and looks low. Maybe not as low as we consider ourselves to be, but deep inside of all of us we foster a small glimmer of hope that even though we might not deserve to know His salvation, that we might at least come to know His mercy.
Therefore, this boat doesn't float for the well-to-do Christians in the pulpits and sitting on the front pews of the vast array of churches on every street corner. Most of those people who might happen to visit this site will look down their noses at us. We are the blind who seek insight, and the lame who need spiritual therapy. We are the lepers who need to be cleansed and the deaf who need to hear. We are the dead who need to be raised and the poor whose cups are empty and need to be filled. We are the weary, the downtrodden and the heavy-laden. Everyone here is looking for their own individual pathway back to righteousness; a soothing light at the end of our dark tunnel or a tiny star in the distance by which we might order our steps.
As for me, Robert, I don't claim to be any type of Saint. I have my own faults and I seek my own restoration. The only thing that I might be able to claim over some others is obedience to God's will. Obedience to a strange calling that wakes me out of my sleep early on most mornings before my alarm has a chance to sound, and permeates my dreams through most nights. I whole-heartedly believe that I have been commissioned by God not to lead you, but to serve you as He sees fit to ferry your soul via this vessel back to Himself through some of the most dangerous and troubled waters known to man. God has navigated me through many experiences which his given me a deep insight into man's tribulations. He has shown me a "back way" for those of us that have lost hope of finding ANY way that leads to Him. I liken my task and this journey to that of Harriet Tubman and the Underground Railroad and I am so very grateful to Him for allowing me this chance at restoration by using me as a vessel. Though I am humbled to have the opportunity, I take great pride in being allowed to serve you in this manner. To them who have ears, Let them hear.
I thank each and every one of you for joining us on this journey! I pray that God will touch your hearts through this ministry and give you the peace and the joy that is a gift to all who come to know the Lord. Fare well! I bid you peace in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
